Description

A square panel with four sprays curling out from a centre flower and buds in the corners, after Mughal inlaid floor tiles.

From parchin kari, the Mughal art of setting flowers of coloured stone into white marble, best known from the Taj Mahal. We build the same flowers from coloured layers instead of stone. A statement piece for the middle of a wall, at eye level.

Size and materials

  • Size: 40 × 40 cm (15.7 × 15.7 in)
  • 4 layers, about 10 mm deep
  • Base: sage green acrylic, 3 mm
  • Red: red oxide acrylic, 3 mm
  • Ivory: ivory acrylic, 2 mm
  • Gold: gold mirror acrylic, 2 mm

Hanging and care

Hang on screws through the pre-drilled holes, at eye level (about 145 cm to the centre). Keep it out of direct afternoon sun. Dust with a soft dry cloth.

The pictures are design renders. Every piece is cut and finished by hand in Mumbai, so small variations are part of it.
